Review: iPhone X Silver

Kicking off Review #3 we are reviewing the iPhone X Silver today!!

I am so fucking excited for this phone you guys, you have NO IDEA !!! πŸ˜€

Now my luck with getting my hands on this, was a total god damn fluke! I wandered into my local Optus shop near my work to talk about potentially switching my plan from Telstra (fucking sick of them, but that’s a story for another day) and now mind you, it was on the day of launch for the iPhone X – But I totally thought to myself, there is NO WAY they have stock!

There was only 1 other customer in the store, and he had an iPhone sitting on the table in front of him, but as it looked like any other iPhone box, I remained unfazed.
The guy asked me what phone I’d be interested in getting if I was to switch the Optus, I asked him if/when they would have stock of the iPhone X as I’d come back then to sign up, and he said “we’ve got a few out back, did you want black or silver?” – I almost fell off my chair!!

So 5 minutes later, I walked out with the brand new iPhone X Silver, on launch day, with no pre-order :O

Background

I currently have the iPhone 7 Plus and even though I was DYINGΒ to get my hands on the iPhone X, I was a little skeptical of the size… I know the screen is larger, but technically the overall phone is smaller; So I was like hmm… do I really wanna go back to a ‘smaller’ phone? But I did anyway, I am still noticing the size difference.. But other than that..
I love it so far ❀

The Phone

The design / appearance is absolutely beautiful.
Once I got over the whole ‘no rose gold option’ thing, I actually really enjoy the silver/glass back, and the entire screen to phone edge thing πŸ™‚
I like the shiny, aluminium edging around the sides, it makes the phone appear super sleek.
I LOVE the cameras… Front and Rear. They are all amazing, and the picture quality is NEXT level!!
And lastly, lets not forget the water and dust resistance; so handy for a mum of 2 boys!!

Issues:

  • Fingerprint Scanner
Or lack thereof… I’m not sure how I feel about this not being a feature anymore, so far, the Face ID seems to be a non-issue thus far πŸ™‚
  • Phone Size / Screen Size
I’m slowly adjusting to the size, I did LOVE the face that the iPhone 7 Plus was so much bigger, but obviously this screen is larger, so I’m sure I will get used to it!

Overall

Overall, I do really love this phone.
Its beautifully made, so fast-functioning and all the new features are incredible!
I am slowly adjusting to the size, and the no fingerprint scanner – But everything else has been a natural switch from the iPhone 7 Plus.

Have you guys got your hands on this amazing new device from Apple?
