Review: Mamma Baby Care Breast Pump

Well hello my lovelies! <3

Today we’re gonna talk about boobies. My boobies in particular, but also boobies in general. And making sure you keep your boobies happy, especially after having a new baby!

Being a second time mum, I definitely have a more of a realistic view on the first few weeks with a new baby than I did the first time around.

I am not going to be a hero and not ask for help when I need it. And I definitely plan on taking up the offer of help whenever someone is willing. Cause this mumma needs to keep her head on straight and at least try to enjoy those first few blurry weeks as a sleep-deprived new parent.

Now my current plan is to pump everyday to build my supply, and to allow me to have a break/sleep/shower etc and give someone else in the family a chance to bond and love all over the baby for me 🙂

And also, I’m not exclusively breastfeeding either. I will breastfeed, bottle feed breastmilk and formula feed him. Because, fed is best!
And so he gets a little bit of everything, is always satisfied and I am keeping my sanity… Mostly 🙂

Now let’s talk about how I plan on doing all of the above…

My Breast Pump. My new best friend. I am fucking obsessed with this thing!

She isn’t loud & out-there like my old Avent breast pump. She comes with a zip up bra that holds the pumps in place (win!), a double pump (double win!) and of course all the bottles/lids/bits that you need to get that liquid gold outta your boobies and into a bottle! 😀

And let’s not forget, its only $249 AUD – AMAZING! 😀

I bought my pump directly from the Mamma Baby Care website – and I chose to purchase the Combo pack, cause anyone who knows me, knows I love a combo and I love when everything is included!! 😀
I cannot wait to continue to use this baby each and every day! 🙂

Mamma Baby Care Breast Pump & Bra Combo

Now here is all you need to know about this amaze-balls product from their website:

Mamma Double Electric Breast Pump

The MAMMA pump is a light weight and innovative double electric breast pump perfect for the modern busy mama who doesn’t want to compromise on time, quality or design.

  • Individual pump engines – for maximum performance
  • Unique low noise technology – one of the quietest
  • Closed system design – to ensure hygiene and easy to clean
  • Large display with backlight, timer & memory
  • 2-phase expressing feature – switch between massage & suction
  • Use as single or double pump – whatever you prefer
  • Soft breast shields – for your comfort
  • BPA Free – safe for you and bub
  • Affordable – matching the price of market leading single electric pumps

Individual pump engines
The MAMMA pump has two pump engines which guarantees a strong suction level regardless of whether you use the pump single or double sided. There is no loss of performance while double pumping as each side has its own individual pump engine (130-320 mmHg per side).

Unique low noise technology

With its unique low-noise technology, you can easily and discretely pump almost anywhere, whether your bub (or partner) is asleep in the same room, or if you need to go for a quick and quiet pump break at work.

 Closed system design

The MAMMA pump has a closed system design, which ensures that no milk can enter the tubing or into the pump engine. This makes the pump easy to clean and hygienic. All parts that come into contact with breastmilk are BPA free.

Digital display with backlight and timer

The pump has a large digital display with a timer, memory and backlight. It also shows which mode you are currently using and whether you are using the single or double. The backlight enables you to smoothly pump at night time without having to switch the lights on.

2-phase expressing function
This feature gives you the option to switch between the massage mode (that stimulates and relaxes your breasts to start the milk flow) and suction mode that mimics your baby’s natural nursing rhythm. The massage feature has 3 strength levels, followed by a suction mode with 9 strength levels, which can simply be changed with the +/- buttons to suit your own level of comfort. This quick and efficient pump is perfect for mums who need to express milk multiple times a day. The pump has soft silicone breast shields to ensure a comfortable pumping experience.

Use as a single or double pump
You can use the pump in single or double mode depending on your circumstances and needs. Some mums use the single pumping feature to keep up the milk supply when their baby is happy after one breast.

Pump features
The pump is light weight (only 392 grams) with the dimensions of 12.8 x 12.8 x 5.2 cm. All of the parts are BPA free and meet all required regulation and quality standards. See below for guidance on the pump functions.

Mamma Hands Free Pump Bra

Hands free baby!
The MAMMA pump bra was designed to fit our MAMMA double electric breast pump,
providing a hands-free pumping experience. Being hands-free while pumping gives you time to catch up on messages, work from your laptop or enjoy a cup of tea.

Smart and flexible design
The bra is designed with a front zip making it easy to put on and take off, and can be used on its own, or on top of your every day nursing bra. It comes with adjustable and removable straps, with two sizes (XS-M and L-XL). Due to the flexible velcro strap in the back, the bra will fit most body sizes (see size chart below).

The bra combines cotton and spandex giving it a comfortable feel, while creating a tight seal around the bottles to ensure high quality suction while pumping.

Now of course, as usual with my reviews – I will keep you guys updated over the next few months how I actually go with the product and how I’m liking/loving/hating it etc 🙂

But after my initial first few weeks of use. This girl right here is in love, this breast pump is giving me life and keeping my head above water as a new parent of 2 under 2 😍

Keep an eye out for lots more mummy posts to come…
