I’m starting a new series on my blog, “Let’s Get Real” – I’m going to open up to you guys about real things happening in my life, and let you know what’s going on, what I need help/advice on and just to generally let you all in on life, and just be real 🙂
First up… Lets get real with my post baby body after two little boys, in all its glory…
I am currently 10 Weeks Post-Partum.
Now I’m going to be completely honest and transparent with you all; prior to my first child, I NEVER worked out, I was really unfit and definitely not the ‘best version of myself’ – And in between my babies, I also, didn’t work out.
Of course in the world of instagram, filters and all that shit, I ‘looked’ great – I was a size 6 before and after my babies, everything looks good in clothes and I was in a bikini 5 months after Leo completely confident in myself. But its all an illusion online.
Call it genetically blessed or whatever, but my body just ‘went back’ after Leo, so I didn’t feel or see the need in working my ass off when I was already back in my jeans and my bikinis.
Now, after my second baby, I would say my body also ‘went back’ to what it was prior, but everything is a lot less toned, a bit saggier and just a bit sad looking.. throw in some deep dark stretch marks all over my tummy and bum, and voila! I feel like shit, hate looking in the mirror and am just overall unhappy with my body.
Sure, it looks great when I’m in my clothes, but nobody wants to see whats underneath.
So I’m on a journey, to *finally* add working out into my lifestyle, to attempt to get myself to a point where I am happy to look in the mirror.
I don’t have a weight loss goal, or feel the need to put a huge amount of pressure on myself, I’m just going to do what feels right to make myself feel good about myself.
Let’s take this post as my ‘before’ and I will keep you guys updated over the coming months on my progress 🙂
