Just a quick little must-haves post ahead of my Thailand trip this Saturday.
After travelling a bit over the last few years, I’ve definitely learnt to narrow down exactly what I do and don’t need on a flight, and to ensure I don’t over pack 🙂
Here’s my top 5 in flight, I cannot possibly travel without, items <3
No. 1 – Sound Cancelling Headphones –
Preference: Beats Wireless
These are my life when on a flight, they cancel out all background noise when I’m listening to music, watching a movie etc – And even if I just wear them without anything playing, they block out a lot of the plane noise.
No. 2 – Hand Sanitiser / Antibacterial Wipes
Confession, I am a massive germaphobe; I don’t like touching doors, buttons, railing, anything that has other peoples ick on it 😐
So I literally have 2 bottles of hand sanitiser and 2 packets of antibacterial wipes at the ready at all times.
No. 3 – Tablet; preloaded with games and apps that don’t require data.
Preference: Apple iPad
Even though I usually purchase the in-flight entertainment on the plane, my iPad is a necessity.
I pre-download all my netflix shows, youtube videos and music so that I can use it all ‘offline’ when on the plane. It’s also handy if I’m having some down time at my destination, I can watch, play & chill without needing an internet connection.
No. 4 – A Travel Blanket
Preference: Anything compact
I stole this one from a Qantas flight over 5 years ago (Sorry Qantas!) and it is legit the best thing ever, it’s so small and compact, yet holds heat like a thermal blanket. It is amazing, I take it on every single trip. Planes get cold, you can fold it up and use it as a pillow, and when travelling with kids, having something to lay on the ground for them to sit on is always handy 🙂
No. 5 – Travel Wallet
Preference: Kikki K Leather Travel Wallet
An ultimate must have for me is a travel wallet, with a pen and sticky notes.
When travelling, especially internationally, you always need a pen, and I often need to write things down, so a pen and sticky notes are always inside mine.
As well as keeping my passport, boarding passes, travel insurance docs etc all together in one quick-to-grab place 🙂
