Master Bedroom Re-Arrange – Transitioning Cruz Bassinet to Cot

The time has come to transition my not-so-little baby into his cot.
He is rolling and scooting around the bassinet way too much and bumping himself on all the edges. Kid is just getting too big.

Luckily for us, we made a smart purchase while I was pregnant; a convertible cot that comes with all the bits.
We purchased the Cocoon Evoluer 4-in-1 cot from Baby Kingdom.

It came with all the pieces required to have it in Bassinet, Cot & Toddler Bed set up, including the different sized mattresses!! Which is so so amazing and so handy!

Cruz is not a great sleeper, so I don’t have any major hopes of this transition ‘helping’ his sleep at all.
But if it did, that would be super nice πŸ˜›

Cruz’ current sleep schedule is:

  • 6am – Wake up
  • 8:30-10:30am – Nap Time
  • 1-3pm – Nap Time
  • 6:30pm – Bed Time

Scheduling is all fun & games – But when it comes to actually getting him to *sleep* in that schedule, he isn’t as interested 😐

Cruz currently sleeps in a Love to Dream 50/50 Swaddle. He still keeps his arms in as he’s not keen on having his arms out just yet.
And he loves his Riff Raff & Co Bandit comforter and Jellycat Bunny πŸ™‚

Day sleeps tend to go a lot smoother, but during the night, Cruz can wake only once, he could wake twice, or he could wake 13 times like last night πŸ™
Nothing in his routine changes, yet his sleep during the night is VERY touch and go. But we will get there πŸ™‚

Along with moving him from the Bassinet to the Cot, we also have needed to move some things around in our room for it to all fit, bought some new bedding (of course!) and re-organised all his clothes, big man is in Size 0 now – Makes me so sad, he’s getting so big!! πŸ™

As always, I’ll keep you guys up to date with how his sleeping changes (or doesn’t change) with this new bed-situation πŸ™‚
